PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration in the performance as a whole by providing integrally plural heads and moving the head to a position where the reproduced smallest output is maximized when plural tracks are reproduced simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Reproducing heads 51a, 51b are constituted integrally by a pitch of one track in a pairs and the position is controlled by a drive means 52 and a control circuit 53. Signals from reproducing amplifiers 54a, 54b are led to a comparator circuit 55, smaller output is selected and its output and the position of the heads 51a, 51b are stored in the memory 56. The control circuit 33 controls the drive means 52 and if the output from the comparator circuit 55 is larger than the output stored in the memory 56 while controlling the drive means 52 and changing the position of the heads 51a, 51b, the value and position are revised and the output of the track with the least output is maximized. Thus, the deterioration in the performance is suppressed as a whole. |
