<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high definition image without being deteriorated even when toner whose grain size is small is used by using a fixing roll having specified surface resistance. CONSTITUTION:The fixing roll 1 and a pressure roll 2 are made to press-contact with each other by a pressure mechanism and the press-contact part thereof has prescribed contact width. The surface resistance of the roll 1 is adjusted to be 10<3>-10<10>OMEGA.cm. When the surface resistance is larger than 10<10>OMEGA.cm, static electricity is easily accumulated on the surface of the roll 1 and the irregularity of a toner image is caused at a fixing time. When the surface resistance is smaller than 10<3>OMEGA.cm, the electric change of the toner is leaked. As the result, since the electrostatic attraction force thereof with a recording paper becomes weak, the toner is easily transferred to the roll 1 and easily offset. By using the roll 1 having the specified surface resistance in such a way, the toner image consisting of the toner obtained by using a carbon black graft polymer as coloring agent is effectively prevented from being disordered or splashed by the static electricity or the like at the fixing time.</p> |
