PURPOSE:To provide a light emission device constituted so that the utilizing efficiency of light emitted from a light source is improved. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a polarizing beam splitter 17 splitting the parallel light L11 from the light source 11 to a P wave and an S wave, a first mirror 21 reflecting the S wave out of the split P wave and the S wave and making it incident on the splitter 17 again, a 1/4 wavelength plate 16 converting the S wave made incident again and reflected on the splitter 17 to a circularly polarized wave and emitting it and a cold reflector and a collimator lens 14 reflecting the emitted circularly polarized wave once, returning it to an identical direction to the light L11 from the light source 11 and making it incident on the plate 16 again. |
