The carriage (1) has at least a further two wheel pairs (13,14) for travel on a railway, which are positioned on opposite sides of the carriage crossways centre line. The wheels are located in an inactive position when the unit travels by road. The carriage is formed so that the traction vehicle can be moved up onto it and is so equipped that the traction vehicle drive wheels when travelling by road are in connection with at least one railway wheel pair in the carriage for forward drive on a rail track. The first wheel pair (13,14) on the carriage are lowerable to an active position for travelling by road and raisable to an inactive position for travel by rail. |
