<p>PURPOSE: To provide a coordinate input device which makes a fast scan without requiring an AD converter and obtains resolution more than the number of input signals and output signals. CONSTITUTION: A coordinate input part has five signal lines for detecting element select signals 5 outputted from a circuit as input signals of detecting elements, the inputs 6 of lateral detecting elements are made common, and A-E are discriminated with the connected detecting element select signals. Further, seven signal lines are arranged for input signals 7 inputted from detecting elements and inputted to the circuit, the outputs 8 of longitudinal detecting elements are made common, and (a)-(g) are discriminated with connected input signals. Longitudinal resolution is 10 and lateral resolution is 21. Four detecting elements become valid corresponding to inputted coordinates 10 and only when the detecting element select signal B or D is validated, a signal is detected as the input signal (a) and (c), thereby specifying input coordinates.</p> |
