MULTIPLE-SPINDLE LATHE

A multi-spindle lathe, comprising a machine frame, two drums arranged on opposite sides of a working space to be rotatable around a substantially horizontal rotational axis, machining devices arranged in individual positions on the drums with central axes substantially parallel to the rotational axis, and tools for the machining of work pieces held in at least one part of the machining devices. In order to improve the lathe in such a way that it can be used as widely as possible for other work pieces also, it is proposed that the drums should be rotatable around their rotational axis independently of each other relative to the machine frame.
