<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which is small and provides high spark energy. SOLUTION: Relating to the coil, a secondary coil 5 is concentrically allocated on the outer periphery side of a primary coil 3, while a coil main body 1 which is integrally molded with an insulating member 9 and closed magnetic circuit iron cores 10 and 11 of magnetic metal are provided, and the coil main body 1 is inserted in the closed magnetic circuit iron cores 10 and 11, and a permanent magnet 12 is allocated in series, magnetically, with the closed magnetic circuit at the closed magnetic circuit iron cores 10 and 11 positioned to face the place where the coil main body 1 is allocated, with a gap formed on the side of coil main body 1, to discourage occurrence of magnetic saturation.</p> |
