<p>A pinball machine (20) has been designed with several novel mechanical and electrical features such that it is easily serviceable and is easily retrofittable or convertible between a first pinball game and a second pinball game. One of these novel features is a method for identifying the condition of a fuse or lamp. To identify the condition of a fuse or lamp, a driver electronics board (98) of the pinball machine is provided with fuse and lamp detection circuits having outputs indicative of the respective conditions of the fuse and lamp. The pinball machine has a controller (70) that selectively reads the outputs of these circuits and visually represents the outputs of the circuits on a video display (50) of the pinball machine.</p> |
