<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely protect a long body without any special tool or machine, by letting out a wire netting protection body for protecting the long body such as a submarine cable from a ship navigating in a direction orthogonal to the long body into the water according to speed of the ship so that the wire netting protection body is disposed one by one to cover the long body. SOLUTION: A ship 3 navigates in a direction orthogonal to a submarine cable 10 laid to the bottom of the sea. A wire netting protection body 1 for protecting the submarine cable 10 is let out from the ship 3 into the water according to speed of the ship 3, and is disposed to cover the submarine cable 10. In that case, the wire netting protection body 1 should be formed by connecting a plurality of metal chains to each other, or by putting a wire through each hole of plural spherical bodies made of cast iron. The wire netting protection body 1 is disposed to cover the submarine cable 10 on the sea to eliminate any special tool or machine, and a diver. Therefore, unlike the working by the diver, limitation in a working area in the sea can be solved.</p> |
