PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and securely perform the initial setting of a rotation detector for detecting the totally closed position of window glass when a power window motor for elevating the window glass of a door without a sash. SOLUTION: The motor is provided with an output shaft 7 for giving power in forward and reverse directions to the window glass, and at the same time a spur gear 12 that is rotated along with the rotation of the output shaft 7 and has a contact plate 13A at a peripheral edge, a rotary detector 10 with a contact 13B that comes into contact on the rotary trace of the contact plate 13A, a brake rubber 16 for supporting the rotation of the spur gear 12 by pressing it, and a clutch mechanism 20 that transfers rotary force from the output shaft 7 to the spur gear 12 and separates the output shaft 7 from the spur gear 12 at a stage where the rotation of the spur gear 12 is inhibited by the brake rubber 16 between the output shaft 7 and the spur gear 12 of the rotary detector 10.
