The invention relates to a method for the indirect measurement of the eccentricity of the wall thickness of hollow blooms, which occurs by cross rolling in the first stage of the hot production of seamless steel tubes. From the measurement of the distance of the plug bar surface to a plurality of measuring units, the path curve of the center point of the plug bar cross-section is determined. From the trajectory of the plug bar motion two different frequencies of the movement are determined, and the necessary forced movement to the plug bar to compensate eccentricities. |
