PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufacturable connector having a shield, of a type with the shield inserted between terminals, and to provide a connector unit for this. SOLUTION: In the connector unit 50, a shield plate 51 is formed integrally by an insulator 52. A thickness of the insulator 52 is adjusted or a recessed part is provided in one side or both sides of the insulator 52 for forming a thickness thin portion of the insulator. When a plurality of the connector units are arranged in a line, the impedance between adjacent units can be adjusted by gaps between the thickness thin portions of the insulators.
