<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve control so that the temperature of the inside of the apparatus is within a predetermined temperature, without increasing the number of fans and airflow. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus that forms an image according to an electrophotographic system detects the temperature of the inside of the apparatus (S801). Based upon the detected temperature and an operation limit temperature set in advance, the apparatus obtains information about an amount of images that can be formed continuously before the temperature of the inside of the apparatus reaches the operation limit temperature (S802).
