<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilizes an image data holding storage device even if its capacity is small in an image forming apparatus for holding image data inside the image forming apparatus and printing the image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a printing job management means wherein, among image data held in a storage device inside the image forming apparatus, image data corresponding to the lowest rank of a significance value table created by combining at least two or more of multiple predetermined indexes are automatically erased when storage of new image data is commanded, or with regard to image data held in the storage device inside the image forming apparatus, the order of erasure is determined according to the significance value table created by combining the at least two or more of weighted multiple predetermined indexes and when storage of new image data is commanded, the erasure is automatically started from image data of the lowest significance.
