In Fig. 1 the hand of lay of leg 11 is the same as that of leg 12. In Fig. 3 (not shown) the hand of lay of leg 11 is opposite to that of leg 12. In use, Fig. 2, the leg 11 of longer pitch is first wrapped around the cable 15 and thereafter the leg 12 of shorter pitch is wrapped around the cable 15 and the leg 11. The appliance 10 may be made by forming each of the legs 11, 12 and the bight portion 13 separately and then joining the three elements by welding, clamping or the like. |
