PURPOSE:To prevent shift of paper due to reaction when the paper is warped, in a slip processor, by pressure contacting one endface or sideface of the paper and holding the sideface side when the endface is arranged while holding the endface side when the sideface is arranged. CONSTITUTION:Front end of a paper B fed to a paper processor comes in contact with an accumulation gate 7 so as to accumulate the paper in a paper accumulating section 5. When predetermined amount of papers are accumulated, the gate 7 opens to feed the paper onto a paper mounting table 2, then the paper is further fed in the direction of a stapler A by means of a carrying means 19 and when a sensor D detects that the paper has arrived to a predetermined position, the paper is stopped and a carry roller 20 retracts upward. Then a press plate 18 is moved in the direction of a stopper 17 so as to hold the paper B lightly, and the press plate 11 is rolled several times under this condition so that the front end of the paper B is made in contact with a stopper 10. Thereafter, the press plate 18 is rolled similarly with the paper B being held by means by a press plate 11 and the stopper 10 so as to make the front end of the paper B in contact with the stopper 17 thus arranging the paper. Consequently, the paper can be arranged accurately.
