Rear ventilated facade with under=structure

Cassette-shaped sheet metal facade elements (1) are secured on the understructure. They contain at their horizontal edges step- or groove-shaped, edged profiled parts of variable depth, formed by downwards pointing folds of the element edges. The profiles are suspended in retaining members (15) of the free-support ends of the holders (12,16), secured to the understructure. Pref. the facade element top edges are groove-shaped (3), while their lower ends are stepped (2), with the steps deeper than the grooves. This ensures that, in an overlapping assembly, downwards and inwards pointing ventilation and drain ducts are formed.
