PURPOSE: To produce a resin binder ensuring low-temp. fixability and anti- offsetting property of a toner. CONSTITUTION: When a mixture contg. a styrene monomer and an acrylic monomer is suspension-polymerized at >=95 deg.C to form a high mol.wt. copolymer and a low mol.wt. copolymer is formed by suspension-polymerizing a mixture contg. a styrene monomer and an acrylic monomer in the presence of the high mol.wt. copolymer to produce a resin binder for a toner, at least either of the polymns. is carried out in the presence of terpene resin having <=125 deg.C softening point.
