<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger for two-wheeled vehicle by using a permanent magnet type three-phase AC generator having a high efficiency over all number of revolutions. SOLUTION: In a battery charger charging a battery B with a DC voltage rectified in a three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit with a control rectifier with a permanent magnet type three-phase AC generator(ACG) as an input, the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit with the control rectifier comprises a first thyristor group (T1, T2 and T3) and a diode group (D4, D5 and D6), and a second thyristor group (T4, T5 and T6) is respectively connected in reversely parallel to each diode (D4, D5 and D6) of the diode group. And when revolutions of ACG or output voltage is low, the gate signal of the first thyristor group T1 to T3 is stopped, ACG output is opened and, when the revolutions of ACG or the output voltage is high, the gate signal is sent out to the second thyristor group (T4 to T6) and ACG output is short-circuited.</p> |
