PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an incomplete timer operation by giving an alarm of urging oil supply by an alarming unit when a heating reservation timer setting section is operated in the state that a sensed oil amount of a tank oil amount sensor is lower than a predetermined amount to urge an oil supply, and inhibiting a start of controlling by the setting section. SOLUTION: A controller 11 of the petroleum combustion heater obtains a residual oil amount in a tank based on a sensed weight by a tank oil amount sensor 7, and displays it on an alarming unit 9. However, when an oil level in an oil receiving tray starts lowering due to lack of a fuel in a cartridge tank and an arrival of the level at an oil supply request warning level is sensed through an oil receiving tray oil amount sensor 4, an alarm is displayed on the unit 9. Meanwhile, if a heating reservation timer setting section 10 is operated, an oil amount in the tank is judged to be at a predetermined amount or less. When the amount is the predetermined amount or less, setting of the timer is inhibited, and lack of the oil amount in the tank is displayed on the unit 9.
