PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recoating an optical fiber by which a part of an optical fiber where the coating is removed is again coated with a uniform resin coating film. SOLUTION: In the method for recoating an optical fiber to apply a resin coating film again on a part 12 of the optical fiber 10 where the coating film is removed, the part 12 where the coating film is removed is relatively rotated against a resin supply means 320 when the resin is supplied to the part 12. Thus, a uniform recoating part 11a can be obtained.
