<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health food producible relatively at low cost, good in one's liking, and affording good health promotion effect even if eaten singly, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The health food comprises a mixture of Ume flesh obtained from pickled Ume and Sake lees as a by-product from Japanese Sake manufacturing process, being preferably formed to pills or tablets. The method for producing the health food comprises preferably the steps of mixing Ume flesh obtained from pickled Ume with Sake lees as a byproduct from Japanese Sake manufacturing process, aging the mixture by keeping it at normal temperatures to 40°C, kneading the aged mixture with a vehicle, and forming the kneaded product to pills or tablets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
