The method involves measuring a lag between beginnings of specific frames of different wireless access technologies for each neighborhood cells of a current cell. The measured lag is used for synchronizing a passive wireless access module with an active wireless access module. The passive wireless access module is activated from the active wireless access module. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a device for synchronizing time of wireless access modules of a multimode communication terminal (b) a multimode mobile terminal.
