<p>The hoist is for lifting motor vehicles in garages, having a lifting platform matching the vehicle track. It has three or more columns with guides for the platform, one of these at least being equipped with a hoist mechanism. Two of the columns can be on opposite sides of the platform and set back from the entry end, while the third is situated centrally at the rear end. The platform can have a continuous surface below the engine, gearbox, differential, etc. of the vehicle accommodated on it. The hoist mechanism can comprise a screwed rod working in a nut, to which are attached ropes reeved round pulleys on the other columns to anchorage points on the platform.</p> |
