发明名称 A METHOD FOR TAKING IN AND TAKING AWAY GASES LEAKING DURING COKING AND A DEVICH THEREFOR
摘要
Leakages of gas produced durng coking or low temp. carbonisation, passing through a slit between the plug of refractory bricks on the door and the wall of the oven, are collected and evacuated towards the gas collector. The gases concerned are partic. those generated during the starting up of the coking operation. These exert pressure towards the outside and are directed through a narrow gap of definite section into a larger slot forming the flue. From there the gases pass, practically without pressure into the gas chamber and on to the collector. The section of the plug turned towards the oven door is narrower than the refractory brick zone facing the interior, so that there is a narrow gap between the brick zone and the oven wall. The flues on each side of the plug are for pref. 50 mm wide, whilst the gap between the brick plug and the wall is for pref. 15 mm. The frame of the plug is an iron casting, with on the rim facing the coke oven, a flange projecting inwards and outwards; the face of the outwards inclined flane being in line with the face of the brick plug. The plug may be a refractory moulding sheathed in a steel plate. The gap between oven wall and plug increases towards the interior. The door is sealed to the atmosphere by a hooked bolt and a sealing blade with a rounded edge. The sealing of the door is ensured by the prevention of deposits of tar, etc. which are removable only with difficulty and expense, since the rods do not have to withstand pressure. The flue may be either arranged in the masonry or as described, formed between the door plug and the oven wall. The gap. between plug and wall is quickly filled by coal fines.
