PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular magnetic recording medium that has a high electromagnetic conversion property and can responds to the increase of the recording density, and provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device including the perpendicular magnetic recording medium.SOLUTION: In the perpendicular magnetic recording medium of the present invention, a backing layer 2, a ground layer, an intermediate layer 5, and a perpendicular magnetic recording layer 6 are sequentially stacked on at least a nonmagnetic substrate 1. The backing layer 2 includes at least a soft magnetic film having an amorphous structure. In the ground layer, a first ground layer 3 and a second ground layer 4 are stacked from the nonmagnetic substrate 1 side. The first ground layer 3 is made of a TiV alloy having an amorphous structure, and the second ground layer 4 includes a NiW alloy. The intermediate layer 5 includes Ru or a Ru alloy. The soft magnetic film, first ground layer, and second ground layer having an amorphous structure are in contact with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
