PURPOSE:To accurately detect the position of a motor by a position detector without affecting the adverse influence to a responsiveness of the motor by counting the period of pulse from the detector, setting the counted value in a register and calculating based on the values. CONSTITUTION:A counter 103 and a flip-flop 104 are reset whenever a pulse signal Pc is generated from a pulse coder 101, and count the number of clock pulses CP until next pulse signal Pc is generated. Thus, the period of the pulse signal Pc is measured. When the pulse signal Pc is generated, the contents of the counter 103 and the flip-flop 104 and a rotating direction signal SGN is set in registers 106, 107. The number of the clock pulse CP stored in the registers 106, 107 is read by a division unit 108, and a division is performed, thereby obtaining a rotating speed. |
