A paper-hanging tool (10) which is designed in the form of a paper-hanging brush and is equipped with a wallpaper roller is characterised in that no part of the wallpaper contact roller (46) projects from the underside (14) through the plane containing the upper side (12) of the paper-hanging tool (10), in that at least the lateral outermost partial regions of one of the two long sides (24, 26) of the base body connecting the upper side and underside (12, 14) are arranged at right angles to the upper side (12) and lying in a common plane, and in that a spirit level (36) is fixed on the base body in a manner such that a perpendicular position (V) of these long sides (24, 26) can be displayed thereby and, in addition, it (36) can be observed from the underside (14) and/or upper side (12) of the base body. <IMAGE>
