PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding quality determination method enabling welding quality to be determined during welding in consideration of the fine composition of a weld zone, and to provide welding equipment comprising a mechanism implementing the determination method.SOLUTION: The welding quality determination method related to the present invention comprises: a step of inputting various welding conditions before welding start; a step of selecting the databases corresponding to respective input welding conditions; a step of acquiring the image data of a molten pool/heat-affected zone; a step of extracting the feature value of a surface temperature distribution of the molten pool/heat-affected zone from the image data; a step of estimating the heat input amount forming the molten pool from the feature value of the surface temperature distribution and various databases; a step of estimating the temperature change of the molten pool/heat-affected zone from the heat input amount, the feature value of the surface temperature distribution and various databases; a step of estimating the fine composition of a welding region and a material physical property which is based on the fine composition from the temperature change and various databases; and a step of determining the welding quality from the material physical property which is based on the fine composition and a load stress database.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
