The apparatus includes a heater core (1) on which a plurality of heat transferring pieces are attached. A plurality of flow paths (3) are formed inside the array of the heat transferring pieces (2). A dividing plate (5) is installed at one end of an inner space (4), and an exhaustion gas inlet (12) is formed at one end of a jacket (11) in which the heater core (1) is fitted. A plurality of heat transferring pieces (16) are projected from the outer circumferential surface of the jacket (11), and a cooling water circulating path (17) is formed between the heat transferring pieces and the outer circumferential surface of the jacket (11), while the path (17) is connected to a cooling water inlet (23) and a cooling water outlet (24).
