PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element capable of suppressing damage.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 40A comprises: a laminate 50 including a piezoelectric body 41 and first and second outer electrodes 52 and 53; and a resin 60 that entirely covers the laminate 50. The laminate 50 presents a rectangular parallelepiped shape and includes: first and second principal surfaces 50a and 50b which are opposite in a first direction D1; first and second end faces 50c and 50d which are opposite in a second direction D2; and first and second side faces 50e and 50f which are opposite in a third direction D3. The first and second outer electrodes 52 and 53 are disposed in such a manner that the piezoelectric body 41 is held therebetween in the first direction D1. The resin 60 includes: a first opening 65 in which the first outer electrode 52 is exposed at a side of the first principal surface 50a of the laminate 50; and a second opening 66 in which the second outer electrode 53 is exposed at a side of the second principal surface 50b of the laminate 50.
