A hydraulically damped mounting device has a resilient wall 5 interconnecting two anchor parts 1, 4. A rigid partition 7 attached to one of the anchor parts 4, together with the resilient wall 5 define a working chamber 8 for hydraulic fluid. The working chamber 8 is connected to a compensation chamber 12 by a passageway 9, the compensation chamber 12 being bounded by a flexible wall 13. The partition 7 supports a diaphragm 20 which acts as a boundary between the fluid in the working chamber 8 and a gas pocket 21. A snubber plate 25, 27 extends over the diaphragm 20 in the working chamber 8, the snubber plate 25, 27 containing a channel 24 having an axial length greater than its maximum axial width which permits fluid communication through the snubber plate 25, 27 between the working chamber 8 and the diaphragm 20. <IMAGE>
