PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of embossing without tearing sheet foil for embossing by a method wherein a sliding driving device for driving rolled foil is equipped at the downstream side of an embossing part, and a foil feeding device controllable in cooperation with a tension is equipped at the upstream side of the embossing part. SOLUTION: At the downstream side in the carrying direction of an embossing part 5, a pulling mechanism 12 to which rolled foil for embossing is conveyed through two guide pulleys 13 and 14 is arranged. The pulling mechanism 12 has a driving pulley 17 driven by a driving motor 15 through driving belt 16. Through the driving pulley 17, conveying belt 18 spanned round a guide pulley 19 is driven. The driving pulley 17 and the guide pulley 19 are arranged in an axially parallel and mutually displaced fashion in order to make the conveying belt 18 substantially parallel to rolled foil 8, and at the portion where the rolled foil for embossing is placed on the conveying belt 18.
