<p>The sliding door is particularly for the wall opening of a cold store, and is clear of the wall while moving, but moves vertically and rearwards against the sealing strip round the opening. The guide beam (5) on which the door travels (1) is mounted on brackets (11) whose beam support points (18) move between a first position in which the door bears against the sealing strip (4) round the opening (2) and a second one where it is clear of the wall (3). The brackets can be formed by slides movable to and fro in guides sloping outwards in relation to the door surface, and actuated by hydraulic or pneumatic rams whose rods are parallel to the axis of the guides.</p> |
