PURPOSE:To measure the size of a patient on a screen by providing an overlap means which overlaps a scale picture from a scale picture enlargement/reduction part on a CT picture. CONSTITUTION:The enlargement/reduction part 24 reads the scale picture stored in a scale picture memory 23 and enlarges or reduces said scale picture at the same magnification as an enlargement/reduction part 14 does picture data. The overlap means 31 composed of an adder adds both pictures from the enlargement/reduction parts 14 and 24, overlaps and displays them on a display part 32. Thus the scale picture S is overlapped with a patient's picture P and displayed on the display part 32. Therefore thanks to the scale picture S the size of the affected part in the patient's picture P and so on can be obtained on a picture screen 32a.
