PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate capturing of an image including as a subject a user himself/herself who is operating an imaging device.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises a detection unit that detects whether a display unit and an imaging unit are in a predetermined relationship. The detection unit detects that both of a display direction of the display unit and an imaging direction of the imaging unit are directed toward a subject as the result of the display unit being rotated. The display unit displays an icon relating to setting of automatic recording with a self-timer in accordance with the detection result from the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
