PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily eliminating electric charge charged into individual pixels inside a liquid crystal cell on finishing picture inspection in a method for inspecting a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: Within a period during which picture lighting is turned off and then a switching element 4 controlling gate and source scanning lines is turned off, a scanning voltage is applied to gate inspection wiring 1 inside the liquid crystal cell and makes a TFT (thin film transistor) 5 operate.
