FIELD: wood-working, in particular, machines for production of cylinder-bored logs. ^ SUBSTANCE: the machine has a bed frame carrying the feed and receiving mechanisms of the log to be worked, cylinder-boring head, as well as a milling and/or sawing device. A log orienting device is installed between the feed mechanism and the cylinder-boring head, it is made in the form of at least one milling cutter forming the location surfaces positioned in parallel with the longitudinal axis of the cylinder-boring head, and restrictors engageable with the formed location surfaces. Distance L from the log center to the maximum depth of the location surface is more or less than radius R of the cylinder-bored log. The log orienting device is shifted towards the cutting tools of the cylinder-boring head as much as possible. The restrictors are fastened for their readjustment. ^ EFFECT: reduced influence of the torque originating at cylinder-boring of the log on formation of helical longitudinal profiled surfaces. ^ 4 cl, 3 dwg |
