PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for cooling water suitable for removing sludge, suspended matter, SS and the like in a small scale open circulation cooling water system and suitable for energy saving with a simple device configuration and to provide a filtration treatment method of the cooling water using the filter.SOLUTION: In a filter for cooling water having an inflow port taking-in water to be treated to the lower part of a filtration tower, an outflow port taking-out treated water from the upper part of the filtration tower and a granular filtering medium stored in a water permeable bag-like article in the filtration tower,: the cooling water is treated with filtration treatment by passing the cooling water in the lower water tank of a cooling tower to the filter in an upward stream and returning the same to the lower water tank after the filtration treatment; and the tip of a return pipe for returning filter-treated water to the lower water is submerged into the cooling water in the lower water tank and back washing water is taken in the filtration tower by a siphon function filter at the back washing of the filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
