PURPOSE:To select a desired color without erring in an operator's decision by displaying the color information read from a developing device, on a panel, also taking a matching with information from a host logical device, and displaying its result on the panel. CONSTITUTION:In an electrophotographic type non-impact printer which is provided with two or more developing devices 13, 15 containing each different color toner, respectively, on the periphery of one image carrying body 11, and executes a multicolor printing to a form successively through the developing devices 13, 15, a control part 21 reads color information of the toner from each developing device 13, 15, and compares it with color information from a host logical device 23, and decides it. An operating part 22 displays on the panel the color information of the developing devices 13, 15, which is read by the control part 21, and in case the matching of the color information does not coincide, an error is displayed, and also the color information from the host logical device 23 is displayed. |
