PURPOSE: To allow this device to always operate at an arbitrary position at which a telephone line is provided by reducing battery consumption by using intelligent power cycling for both a base device and a remote device while a cordless remote telephone device is paused. CONSTITUTION: Immediately when a hook switch 100 is turned on, a power from a telephone line is supplied through a power regulator 180 of the telephone line to a power input node 182 with which a power cylinder circuit 112 is connected. A power input node 182 is connected with a 3V regulator 118 and a power regulator 180. Immediately when the hook switch 100 is turned on, the node 182 is held close to at least 3V by the above mentioned regulator 180. Then, currents flowing from a C cell alkaline battery 116 are interrupted by a 3V regulator 118 in response to this. Thus, the C cell alkaline battery 116 can be preserved. |
