PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer protector which realizes size reduction and can prevent deterioration of a protection fuse. SOLUTION: The transformer protector has: a first external connector 17 fixed hermetically to one end of an insulating outer tube 15 having a bushing structure; an isolator 20 on the inner face of the connector 17; a second external connector 22 fixed detachably to the other end of the outer cover 15; an insulating inner tube 23 encapsulating a protection fuse 34; a first fuse connector 24 fixed on one end of the inner tube 23, connected electrically to one end of the fuse 34 and detachably to the isolator 20, and whose surrounding face abuts the inner face of the outer tube 15 hermetically; insulating gas encapsulated within a sealed space formed by the first external connector 17, the first fuse connector 24 and the outer tube 15; a second fuse connector 33 fixed to the other end of the inner tube 23 and connected electrically to the other end of the fuse 34; a flexible lead wire 38 connecting the connector 33 and the second external connector 22 electrically, a drive rod 40 coupled to an insulating drive rod 39 fixed to the second fuse connector 33 for connecting and disconnecting the first fuse connector 24 and the isolator 20.
