PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for extracting the maximum value and minimum value of graphics in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: At the time of transmitting the coordinate column of a plotting instruction generated by a central processing unit to an image memory plotting device, the maximum value and minimum value of the coordinate points are searched from among the coordinate point column transmitted to a data bus by using the maximum value comparator and the minimum value comparator. The coordinate column of the plotting instruction is made continuous in a memory, and processed when transferred to the image memory by using the transferring time in the data bus. Thus, it is possible to eliminate the calculating time, and to eliminate the load and processing time of a program. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
