PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a port allocation design support system for ECU (electronic control unit) which can deter a port allocation miss from occurring by decreas ing manual operations for generating port allocation information. SOLUTION: The port allocation design support system 30 for ECU is equipped with a microcomputer information DB31 which manages by microcomputers microcomputer identification information for identifying the microcomputers used for the ECU and terminal function information by terminals supported by the microcomputers and a signal information DB31 which manages signal identification information for identifying input/output signals of the microcomputers and design information regarding circuits for the signals. A processing circuit 34 of the port allocation design support system 30 reads information out of the microcomputer information DB31 and signal identification information DB32 in response to microcomputer identification information and signal identification information inputted from an input means 33, generates port allocation information regarding the allocation of input signals to ports that the microcomputers are equipped with, and displays the generated port allocation information by a display means 35.
