PURPOSE: A device for processing a signal in an MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) mobile communication system and a method therefor are provided to enable a receiving end to know receiving quality of a signal transmitted from a specific transmission antenna, thereby stably transmitting/receiving the signal without losing the signal. CONSTITUTION: Channel evaluators(22,34) evaluate states of plural transmission channels by plural transceiving antennas. An antenna selector(24) selects antennas to which signals are transmitted, among plural transmission antennas(12) by the evaluations of the channel evaluators(22,34). A data separator(26) separates data to be transmitted into plural data blocks, and forms the data blocks. A data block distributor(28) distributes the data blocks to the selected antennas. The plural transmission antennas(12) transmit the distributed data blocks.
