The housing of the anti-siphoning device is composed of a lower housing part (1) with a supply connecting stub (2) and of an upper housing part (6) with a discharge connecting stub (5). A plate (7), clamped in a sealing manner between the housing parts, has a channel (12 to 17) which runs in the form of an S and connects the two connecting stubs to each other. A valve body (4) loaded by its weight and the line pressure normally closes an air inlet (8) to the channel via a valve seat (3). When a subatmospheric pressure prevails in the line, the valve body (4) is raised from its seat (3) and aerates the discharge side of the line. At the same time, it closes the S-shaped channel (12 to 17). This prevents dirty water from being sucked out of the discharge line when a subatmospheric pressure prevails in the supply line. Due to the throughflow direction (from bottom to top), the anti-siphoning device is suitable for the shower connection of mixer units. <IMAGE> |
