Sealing strip for automobile doors - comprising cellular rubber section bonded to polyurethane section in common mould

The sealing strip which fits around the edges of automobile doors is built up from a U-section of PVC moulded around a metal skeleton and a tubular section of cellular rubber. The corners are mitred and the PVC sections welded together. The PVC sections are placed in a mould and simultaneously the tubular sections are moulded in cellular rubber and the PVC sections are coated with a layer of polyurethane. The whole assembly is then cured in the same operation whilst still in the mould.
