PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance by undergoing burning at a relatively low temperature of cathode holding parts hermetically sealed with crystallized glass having a predetermined basic composition and then undergoing burning at a higher temperature for a short time. CONSTITUTION:A support 2 and a tube body 3 are arranged at predetermined positions on a lower mold 5a made of carbon, on which crystallized glass 4 that is composed of ZnO 60wt%, B2O2 21wt%, SiO3 13wt%, and MgO 6wt% in a shape of pellet of powder and is previously undergone molding and temporal burning is filled, and an upper mold 5b made of carbon is put on them. A weight is applied on the upper mold 5b, and they are burnt at 770-800 deg.C in an atmosphere of nitrogen for 30-60min, then are burnt at 790-850 deg.C for 10-15min to make up a cathode holder. Thereby, the heat resistance is improved and the adhesive strength between the crystallized glass, the support, and the tube body is also improved. |
