PURPOSE:To make an efficient bonding of a preceding sheet and a following one on a sheet runway by cutting them and bonding adhesive tape with them or the like as each of them is sucked and held by different lateral frames with suction surfaces. CONSTITUTION:When the termination part of a sheet S stretching from a sheet roll R to a guide roller 8 is stopped, the full width thereof is pushed slightly by a lateral frame 1 with a suction surface 1a, stretched, sucked and cut by a cutter 5 along the frame. The second lateral yoke 2 is lifted with the adhesive surface of an adhesive tape T on the upper surface of this yoke upward to press one side or a half width of the tape T to the cut end of the sheet S sucked to the lower surface of the first lateral frame 1. After the preceding sheet roll R is replaced by the new sheet roll R', the point of a sheet S' is taken off by and from a new sheet take-off unit 6 and bonded with the residual part of the adhesive tape T to cut off the point part of the new sheet S' by a cutter 7 travelling in the third lateral frame 3. |
