PURPOSE:To smooth winding work, in tensile force controller to be employed when winding from rewind section to wind section in paper manufacture industry, by constructing such that the tensile force due to kicker operation is corrected to a setting level through kicker correction means. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of kicker operation signal LS, kicker operating speed signal Vk, coil diameter signal WD of winding product 4, winding coil width signal Wl and product density signal (alpha), kicker correction circuit 20 will operate a setting tensile force correction signal (beta) necessary for preventing excessive tensile force due to kicker operation from being applied onto the product 4 and provide to tensile force control circuit 12. With such arrangement, excessive tensile force can be prevented to protect the product from breakdown resulting in stable operation.
